BRITISH GRAND PRIX |
After starting with a pointless ride JACEK KLECHA (CANVEY ISLAND CASTAWAYS) got better as this meeting went on to be crowned as British GP Champion and move up to 4th overall, giving him a serious chance of a rostrum place with just 2 rounds to race. RAFAL ARANOWSKI (READING REBELS) produced the best performance of any wildcard rider so far this season, starting and ending his regulation rides with a win and going on to pick up an impressive 13 points. The rostrum was completed by FILLIPPE CHONG (WANTAGE KINGS) with 14 points taking him u pto 6th ovreall, a 7 point cushion in the top 8 spots. The other Grand Finalist here was STEVE EDGAR (WOLSTON WARRIORS) who looked set to go clear at the top of the overall standings before an engine failure in the final meant he has to settle for a share of the lead going to Sweden for the 7th round. |
The other joint leader is BOGUSLAW KRYZNOWEK (MILTON KEYNES CATS), who also suffered an engine failure, before being headed by Edgar in the Semi Final, to end his meeting, and the title race now seems like a shootout between the pair. The other Semi Finalists were SVEN SVENSSON (STOCKHOLM SCORPIONS), TIBOR NEMECEK (KING'S LYNN LIGHTNING) and KENNI ALGREEN (WANTAGE KINGS) - the trio are all battling for a top 8 spot with Nemecek currently holding that last, all-important, spot which means automatic qualification for next year's GPs. |
From the rest RAY FRANCE (KING'S LYNN LIGHTNING) scored 6 points and stays 3rd overall and HAYDEN WOOD (LANARKSHIRE LIONS) and PETR MARKO (BOTTESFORD BULLETS) remain in the top 8 despite not progressing to the final stages in this round. MACIEJ TERCJAK (HULL ANGELS) scored a useful 8 with JACK HAGEN (BOTTESFORD BULLETS) picking up just 3 points and the pair fill 9th and 10th overall. |
